Now you can see exactly who is opening your emails and which specific emails they’ve read. This can be invaluable when you’re trying to followup with a prospect and you need to know where they are at in your campaign.
Our email open tracking system relies on the use of a tiny pixel embedded into the outgoing email. When the recipient opens their email the tiny little pixel gets loaded too and thus tracks that the email has been opened. This works great because it’s very light weight and doesn’t interfere with the email content, or cause any disturbances to the reader.
The downside is that it’s can’t track opens 100% reliably because some email users have security settings, anti-virus or firewalls that will block out the tracking pixel when the emails are sent. This doesn’t mean they didn’t get your email, it just means that their email provider blocked the use of the tracking pixel.
