Last month we launched our new Opt-in Triggers feature where members can quickly create opt-in popups and add them to their own website or capture pages within our system. Now we’re excited to launch the second feature for our opt-in triggers and opt-in popups and that is our new a/b split testing module.

Yeah, that’s right… You can now quickly run A/B split tests with our opt-in popup system. This is a HUGE value added feature and will allow our members to rapidly increase the rate at which their website visitors become subscribers and fill out an opt-in form. You create the variations our system takes care of everything else “behind the scenes”.
How Does Our A/B Split Testing Work?
It’s pretty simple really…! You create two opt-in popups within our system. One is the “control” the other your variation. You could change something as simple as the button color, or the entire appearance of the popup if you want to. When your website visitors view your website our system will show them one, or the other.

- Click The A/B Split Test Button and Create The Variation.
- Paste The Code Into Your Website.
- Monitor The Results!
When your visitors view your page where the opt-in trigger resides our system will serve them one of your variations. It works on a cookie so your visitor won’t come back in a few days and see something different, the cookie will remember them and present them with the same opt-in trigger they originally viewed. This keeps your testing consistent.
What Does Our A/B Split Testing Track?
- Opt-in Trigger Impressions (how many times the trigger was shown)
- Opt-in Trigger Clicks (how many visitors click the opt-in trigger)
- Actual Opt-ins (how many subscribers have filled out your form)
- Conversion Rate (percentage)
- Performance Increase (percentage)
- Tracks Your Visitor Via 30 Day Cookie.
From this data we’ll give you a conversion rate and a percentage based score system so you can clearly define the winner and a loser with every test. We then display that information with a beautiful and easy to read display.

In this example we can clearly see that our Control generated more leads (18.92% conversion), however the opt-in trigger (the button that opens your opt-in popup) had a better Click Through on our variation by 1.21%. A combination of the two would be a significant improvement!
